How do I schedule a lesson?

To schedule a lesson, please email our reservation department at info@kirbysschoolofwake.com or book now through our online booking service. Please be prepared to let us know the type of lesson you’d like to do, the number of participants, and if you’ll be needing equipment; in which case we will need each participant’s shoe size and height. Also, it is important that customer’s know that having Kirby as an instructor for events is not always guaranteed.

When is the best time to book?

The best time to book are early mornings or evenings. Weekdays are ideal as they are less busy, but early morning sessions on the weekends will work too!

What is the cost for a lesson?

Private Lessons on the School of Wake Boat (Missouri): $220 per hour on weekdays and $250 per hour on the weekends (We can bring a boat to you, however, the lesson time starts when the School of Wake boat leaves our dock to come to you – not available on weekends and holidays).

Private Lessons with Certified Coach (Missouri): Book with one of our Certified Instructors on our boat for $180 per hour.

Private Lessons on the School of Wake Boat (Florida): $220 per hour on weekdays and $250 per hour on the weekends.

Special Rate: Save $50 when you book four consecutive hours or more on our boat! Restrictions Apply.

Hourly Rate on Customer’s Wakeboard Specific Boat: (2 hour minimum required) $180 per hour +Travel Fee ($2.50 per mile one way)

Cable Park Lesson at Revolution Cable Park: $150 per hour (cable pass not included)

*Important Note: The hourly rate begins when you leave the dock. If the normal cove we ski in is unsafe (ie. on a holiday), your coach will boat to a safer location which will be included in your time.

Is there a charge for each participant?

Lessons are done at a flat hourly rate. The rate is not a per-person rate, meaning you can share the hour(s) between participants. This includes Cable Park Lessons as we can accommodate up to three participants per hour on these.

How many hours should I reserve?

For participants who have wakeboarded or wakesurfed before, you can roughly estimate booking one to two hours for two people depending on how much time each person would like. If the participant(s) have never wakeboarded/wakesurfed before, you can estimate about one hour per person.

What equipment should I bring?

Kirby’s School of Wake provides all equipment for the lessons upon request. Participant’s height and foot size will be needed to have the proper size boards prepared. Please let us know if you have any other special requests such as tubing, surfing, etc. Please bring swimsuit and towel. If you already have a wakeboard feel free to bring what you are comfortable riding. Want suggestions on equipment, gear and more? Check out our Amazon Storefront!

How many guests can come along for the lesson?

Up to six passengers are allowed on lessons including the student(s). Do you have a larger group? Please contact us to inquire about options available.

How and when is payment taken?

Payment is taken upon completion of the lesson. We accept cash, credit, Venmo, and Apple Pay.
